Your Builder and your Home

There are many different types of Log Home buyers, and often they wish to participate in the building process.   One of the questions we ask is "When you build, are you planning to; do it yourself, work with a contractor, or a combination of both".   So we offer a number of options to our customers including: Turnkey package; Dry In; Stack the Log walls: and provide technical assistance to self builders or your contractors.

Self Builders or Self General Contractors

The Real Log Homes® structural package, as described in the prior section, is really builder friendly.   The company provides the most comprehensive manual possible, detailed drawings and the most complete pre-cut log structural package.   To support you Pine River Log Homes provides our customers with on site technical assistance at no charge for the first full day.   Thereafter we offer the service on a paid basis as requested.

Our Building Programs

One option is to have our building crew supervise the preparation of the foundation, building the sub floor, stack the log walls, install the floor joists and girder, and install the frame stock for the windows and doors.

The customer can then contract or complete the rest of the building.   In this option we may at the customers request install the windows and doors as well.

A second option is to have our building crew install the complete structural package which consists of the above items and adds the porch system, gable system and roof system.   This includes stacking the gable logs (or framing the gables); erecting the roof support posts, placing the glulam ridge beams, installing the log or timber roof rafters; installing the porch posts, rafters & plates; and installing the window framestock and windows (at customers request).

The complete Dry In consists of adding the roof deck to the house and any porches, and window trim.   Optionally, we can also include framing in any of the interior walls.

Finally, we offer a complete Turnkey building project which includes everything.   If the above are not exactly how you want to do it let us know what you want to do.   You are the customer, and to Pine River Log Homes you have the right to decide how to contract putting your dream house together.   Its our job to help you reach that goal.
