A 1250 Square Foot Log Addition

Adding onto an existing home will bring the country to town for this couple

This was a two part project:

First - adding a solid log wing to the rear of the house

Second - upgrading the existing home with a new front entrance and log siding.

The rear of the house had 2 large Maples we wanted to save so the addition was designed to fit between them.

Framestock assemblies permit attachment of the log walls to the existing walls.

The connector roof on the old portion of the house is framed. The old and new roofs are blended together.

The finished product is an addition of a great room, master bedroom, master bath, and walk in closet

The front of the house as it was when the project started.

The front was cleared and a new cedar deck added to provide entry during construction.

Reshaping the front entrance by raising the peak and adding a covered log porch

The before and after photos show what can be done to update a home with our log siding and imaginative design.
